Being a wedding photographer myself, I have seen everything to the elaborate, expensive wedding to the charming, intimate celebrations of love. No matter the size or scale of the wedding, love is beautiful. I’m thrilled to feature Jenny and Jeff’s enchanting elopement! Totally smitten with each other, they decided a large wedding just wasn’t for them. The two love birds eloped and had a evening reception at Jeff’s parents house with around 60 guests. The day was relaxed and just the way they wanted it.

Of course I love communicating with any vendor that sends in a wedding they find a perfect fit, but I get a rush hearing from the bride or groom, themselves. There’s a passion in the email as they describe musical moments in their life. Since those are some of the favorites memories in my life, I know how important they can be. Now a photographer that captures weddings, Krys shares her and Jvee’s story:

There are a lot of songs that pinpoint key memories for us. Music played a big part in the beginning of our relationship. We met at a Steel Train/Finch concert in 2003 and most of our subsequent dates were when he would come to town to see some of our favorite bands. We were in a semi-long distance relationship for the first year. Days before our wedding we actually went to see Steel Train and they dedicated their song ‘Women I Belong To’ to us saying “This goes out to our friends Krys and Jvee…they met at our show and now they’re getting married”. That was really special to us. That song meant a lot to me at the time. It also made us stop and think of all the things we had been through in the 4 years we’d been together.

Jvee let me know he liked me by sending me the song “At Natures Mercy” by Hot Rod Ciruit through AIM. It feels so nerdy to think about that now. He sang Dashboard Confessional’s ‘Hands Down’ to me before he told me he loved me for the first time. One of the first Christmas gifts Jvee gave me was an iPod engraved with the lyric “You move me like I’ve got new feet” from a Northstar song ‘For Members Only’. The line “always catch the clock, it’s 11:11…” from Something Corporate’s ‘Konstantine’ inspired our wedding date – 11/11.

What’s the first thing you think of when you hear Stinkweeds? To the folks in Pheonix, Arizona, it’s the name of a beloved record store. It is here that today’s radtastic e-sesh was captured. What a perfect spot to highlight what initially got the sparks flying – music! Heather and Dustin flirted and flaunted their love among the vinyl which made for some fabulous shots, don’t ya agree?!

The clouds have rolled in and brought chilly temperatures with them. I’m not quite ready to let go of the sunny days, so I love how much warmth this wedding brings to my heart! From the adorable details, to the sweet romantic glances, Brett and Casey’s wedding is nothing short of fabulous!

I really try hard not to feature the same artist twice for a Tuesday Tune, but I simply couldn’t resist today! How can you when it’s such a great cover of a personal favorite tune?! The adorable wife and husband that make up the band Tennis announces their second album with this fab spin of the Zombies’ song “Tell Her No”.

This rad wedding took place in Derry, Ireland and has quite the playlist attached! Along with incredible images, music-tastic details, and a party that lasted until 2am, you can see that Linda and Conor’s wedding was inspired by their love for music and festivals. With a breathtaking cathedral ceremony location (which was the same place Linda’s mother and grandmother were married) and a non-stop dance party reception, here’s a Hi-Fi knock out for your Monday morning!

Question Mark & The Mysterians (or ? and The Mysterians) are a classic example of 60’s rock that always gets me excited. While I appreciate all genres of music, garage/punk rock is definitely one of the top three. Whether it’s a band hailing from the yesteryear, or one of my friends’ – I can’t get enough! Of course I love an outlandish musician, and ? fits the bill with his claim to be a Martian who lived with dinosaurs in a past life and has traveled to other planets. Do you really need any other reason to push play?!
