Are you a photographer, bride, groom, DJ, stylist, guest, etc. of a wedding that had the song for every step? I LOVE seeing anything from engagements, weddings, love shoots (anniversary, just for fun, inspirational), invites, insights, and ideas of music lovers! Read on to view some guidelines that can help you get featured.

Eyegasms

There’s nothing like the image that brings back the exact feeling from that frozen moment of time. Since I have a passion for love and photography myself, it helps if the photos you plan on submitting are of quality. I know not all gorgeous backyard “let’s get married” dance parties can be captured by the most expensive photographer out there, so I’m not expecting Professional Photos all of the time…just something better than a webcam, if you hear my tune.

Eargasms

This.blog.is.about.music. And love. Two things that I feel go hand and hand. Music is so expressive and can define an entire class of emotions. With every submission there needs to be something music related.

If you are submitting a wedding, I will need the full list of music that was played. I encourage highlighting certain songs (processional, first dance, cake cutting, etc.), but it is not required. Sometimes people want to send along actual files of songs that can actually be played on the site, so that is also an option! Or if you have the file hosted online, just link me and we can really spice up the feature!

If you are submitting an engagement, love shoot, inspirational shoot, or anything else under the moon – as long as it has something to do with music, I’ll love it (think: record store engagements, a picnic with your favorite albums, a boudoir session with wax, hot shots with a piano, etc.)

Nitty Gritty

I do love a freshly pressed record album, but I don’t hate against pre-loved vinyl. With that said, I would love to have the first go at a submission, BUT if you’ve already had it featured elsewhere (but promise you didn’t give away the music) then I’d love to share it on the site! Just let me know, so I can even link back to the original feature. It’s all about love folks…and even blogs need some lovin’.

Image Specs

For Real Hi-Fi Weddings: 40-60 images* that include everything from details to dancing
For Anything Else Awesome: no more than 25 images* that are related to music in some fashion

*All images should be 500 pixels wide.

Submitting

I LOVE zip files! You can email it to hifiweddings@gmail.com or send via yousendit.com, sendthisfile.com, dropbox.com, etc. I also accept submissions through Two Bright Lights.

Once I discover that we are kindred souls and you HAVE to be on the site, I will contact you within 72 hours of your submission. Please note I will try to respond to every inquiry, even if we aren’t a match just yet.

I encourage you to have (or be able to provide) a list of vendors and a link to their site, if available. I love giving credit where it’s due!
