A Real Hi-Fi Wedding: Nick & Maria Ring in the New Year
I’m a sucker for certain bands that get played at weddings, especially when they aren’t “typical”…and Radiohead is one if these bands. You can guarantee I will always feature a wedding that plays Radiohead. Or the Zombies. Or Talking Heads. Or any other band that can either make people swoon or make people get up and dance without being on the Top 40 charts. FritzPhoto captured this New Year’s Eve wedding (um, wow!!) and it had a great playlist from start to finish!
Nick and Maria came to Portland from Chicago for their New Year’s Eve wedding at the Arista Ballroom. After a beautiful ceremony and dinner, the DJ started spinning some tunes, and didn’t stop until well into 2010. Which is great, because Nick and Maria and their family and friends like to dance! And we at FritzPhoto love to photograph dancers! After a day of photographing the rest of the wedding, it’s a kick in the pants to have the DJ turn up the volume, and we—along with the guests—find our energy amped back into high gear. We love good music. And we love to tell love stories.
And now, to the awesome play list!
