All it took was the first line from Caroline’s email to know I was going to love this wedding: This is the epic dance party wedding I told you about. BAM! I was hooked! Plus I knew Caroline’s captured vision would be nothing short of awesome. She shares some of the details about Jessa and Alex’s Big Day.
It was a scorching day in the Texas hill country but they could care less. We did all the photos outside, the ceremony was outside, and the dance party reception. They were all such troopers! During the reception, guests had the chance to pet camels, photograph ostrich’s…it was bizarre in the best of ways.
Jessa and Alex gifted their whole bridal party with some really fun glasses from Zunies that they opened right before photos. Of course, we had to utilize the fun.
Jessa ran cross country at SMU so a photo of them running was only appropriate.
On every table at the reception there were little torn pieces of paper attached to rocks with a different location. Jess and Alex studied abroad together and have traveled a good amount so it was really fun to walk around and see little parts of their story. This one was my favorite.
While Jessa and Alex weren’t picky about what the DJ played, they did have certain songs in mind for the “special” stuff:
First dance – Drew Holcomb “Fire and Dynamite”
Father Daughter – George Strait “Love With Out End, Amen”
Mother Son – Keith Urban “These Are the Days”
Bride’s dress dress – Watters, purchased at LuLu’s in Dallas, TX
Florist – Floral Gardens, Boerne TX
Bridesmaid dresses – Anthropologie
Suits – Men’s Warehouse
Photographer – Caroline Fontenot Photographer
