A Real Hi-Fi Wedding: Katie & Kevin’s Personalized Wedding Soundtrack
I’ve been excited to feature this wedding for months now! I fell in love with Katie and Kevin when Katherine O’Brien sent me their engagement session back in January. Not only was Katie a fabulous bride, she is also a talented graphic designer and put together all of the print work for their wedding! And they came up with the best table guide I think I’ve ever seen! They gave out a CD to escort the guests to their designated seat…and you can beat the CD was packed with an amazing track list!
(loving all of the cowboygirl boots!!)
(sweeeeeeeeet van!)
(bocce ball?!??! AWESOME!)
Check out Katie’s awesome work:

When Kevin and I started dating…we pretty much unintentionally started compiling a playlist of songs that represent us and times we have had in our relationship. Many of these have poignant memories for us, like #10 Everything to Me, one night when we were working on writing papers in grad school until very late in the night…I looked over at Kevin and he was staring out the window deep in thought….the Sweet Somewhere Bound album was on, and when I asked him what he was doing, he said “Getting lost in the song”, that was the moment I knew that I was head over heals for him! Or #16 I Will Follow You Into the Dark, the song we both wept to together the night my mother died. #5 The Luckiest, the song we kissed through at our first concert together. Or #14 – The song that Kevin sings to me and does a crazy little pantomime dance with to cheer me up when I am crying….it does the trick every time, I can’t help but giggle. Each and everyone of those songs have such meaning for us and our hope was to share this as an expression of or love with our guests and maybe even to introduce them to some beautiful music that they could see great meaning in as well. It was one of our very favorite projects for the wedding and we are happy to share it with you and the world too!
