A Real Hi-Fi Wedding: Debbie & Keith – Hitched in the Hood
Perhaps you already know Debbie, but if not – I’m thrilled to introduce her and Keith! She was one of the first “real brides” I added to my google reader. It only took a second on her page to knew I liked her style…and it’s awesome to now get to share her wedding and music playlist with all of YOU fine folks! I gotta admit, it’s always kinda sad when a bride reader ties the knot because usually it’s on to home decor blogs for them haha. BUT! I do appreciate the magic they leave behind of their wedding day…so us wedding blogs (and newly engaged couples) can continue to swoon!
So congrats and happy nesting you two lovebirds!

Reception/Dance Party
We had decided early on to have an iPod wedding to save money but at the last minute felt we needed a killer dance mix but didn’t have the budget left for a DJ and didn’t feel we could find one at the last minute so I reached out to the talented Michael Antonia/Flashdance to see if he could mix me a little something. He ended up doing a pre-recorded dance mix that included a variety of songs in one hot mix. You can clearly see from the dance photos that everyone loved it! I’ve been dancing around the house to it ever since the wedding.

Madonna – Like a Prayer
Eurythmics – Sweet Dreams
Salt and Pepa – Push It

Alyson, thanks so much for featuring our wedding! Your website was a huge resource for me during the planning process on the music. And I’m still inspired by weddings and have lots of good content to come so not switching over to home decor just yet – HA!
