A Real Hi-Fi Wedding: Jessica & Tyler’s Crooked Tree Nuptials
There’s a lot about Max Wanger‘s photos that make me weak in the knees: the tones, the emotions, the compositions…all elements that come together and create such fabulous memories for such dear people. After drooling over this wedding on his blog I was so excited when Jessica (quite the talent herself) sent me the music info, along with some darling shots of the sweet cd favor they gave out! What a wonderful wedding to lead us into the weekend!
We gave mixed cds as our favors. Our relationship began by exchanging “mixed tapes,” so we thought this would be appropriate. We had custom cds I designed to look like records printed through Mixonic and I stuffed them in square vellum envelopes tied with baker’s twine.
“Our Love in a Mix Tape”
1. Here Comes Your Man – The Pixies
2. You Wear It Well – Rod Stewart
3. Us – Regina Spektor
4. Long Way Home – Tom Waits
5. Hesitating Beauty – Billy Bragg with Wilco
6. My Favorite Chords – The Weakerthans
7. Past the Pines – The New Amsterdams
8. Mushaboom – Feist
9. Deathly – Aimee Mann
10. For You – Bruce Springsteen
11. Carey – Joni Mitchell
12. You Ain’t Goin Nowhere – Bob Dylan sung by Joan Baez
13. Girl From the North Country – Bob Dylan
14. Sweet Avenue – Jets to Brazil
15. Hallelujah – Jeff Buckley
16. Absent-Minded Melody – Joel Plaskett

Photography: Max Wanger (all photos above by Max with the exception of the cd design)
Wedding Dress: I fell in love with a Monique Lhuillier gown that cost more than my entire wedding budget, so I had a local designer in Orange County (where we’re from) make my dress and it was inspired by the original. Her name is Dorie Kong of L’Mode Bridal. She did a fantastic job and it cost me less than $1000.
Shoes: Nina Shoes
Hairpieces: ban.do. I love their hair pieces! I also wore one for my bridal shower.
Groom Suit: J. Crew. His tie is from Zara.
Floral Design: My friend Nick McCoy works for an awesome wholesale flower company based in Carlsbad. He worked with me on choosing my flowers, mostly ranunculus, and had them shipped to Monterey the day before. My mom made all the centerpieces, bouts, corsages and bouquets.
Catering: Esteban’s – Spanish Tapas.
