A Real Hi-Fi Wedding: Taylor & Michael’s Music Memories
It’s been a while since one of Caroline‘s wedding graced the site, but I’m so happy she sent me her bro-in-law’s fabulous shindig! It was a total DIY, love-filled, music-magic, amazing wedding! Congrats to the happy couple, Michael and Taylor, and thanks for letting us peek into your wonderful celebration!
(love that shot!)
CEREMONY
Seating of the mothers: Sigur Rós “Hoppípolla”
Processional: Sigur Rós “Inní mér syngur vitleysingur” (The processional was timed perfectly to the amazing beat of the song. Michael burst in at the first burst of music, followed by the men, meeting at various spots in the round church to high five, chest bump, football handoff, whatever they wanted. Then the song gets slower…then a second burst of awesomeness followed by the women, also doing whatever they wanted when two would pass. The song builds and builds you know it’s coming – the last amazing burst of beauty, with the entering of the bride. Cryfest.)

Glass bowls were borrowed from The Garden Room
Rocks were from Home Depot
Tea lights, votives and floating candles were from IKEA
Burlap centerpiece squares were made out of fabric (burlap) from JoAnn’s Fabric that my mom and I cut.

I guess whiskey really is a groomsmen equivalent to flowers.

@GANGSTA BRIDE – Though I bet whiskey could be the equivalent, I actually bought a case of Odell’s Brewing Easy Street Wheat, a Ft. Collins brew that the guys loved.
