Katie & Nate’s 70’s Inspired Shoot
Using both digital and film, Amber did a fabulous job capturing the fire between Katie and Nate. I can only imagine what it’s like dating or being married to a touring musician. There’s a special and admirable strength among those that have long distance relationships…and I adore how Katie puts it:
“Born in a quaint café/music venue in central Jersey the summer of 2005, our relationship seems to defy all things known and expected of a stereotypical long distance relationship. Nearly six years later, we still spend a lot of time traveling (sometimes cross-country) just to see each other. I’m a working professional with an appetite for construction, avid planner and lover of all things puppy related. Nate is a New England native, avid npr listener and touring musician who has no qualms about cramming his entire life into a plastic storage bin for 8 months out of the year. We share a mutual love for the open road, and make the parts of a relationship that most people would consider impossible appear relatively effortless. The result? A delicate balance of the unknown and the familiar. “Lovin’ a music man ain’t always what it’s supposed to be,” but we’re like magnets – two people who don’t believe in the concept of “too far”.”
