A Real Hi-Fi Wedding: Justine & Paolo’s One Grand, Sweet Song
Around when I first launched Hi-Fi Weddings, I received a lovely email from a very enthusiastic, music-lovin’ bride (Justine) that was looking for templates for vinyls and cds. After “chatting” via email I knew I couldn’t wait to feature her wedding! Well, the time is here!! When these two musicians tied the knot, not only did love fill the air, but so did their favorite songs! Mixing from all sorts of genres, Justine and Paolo’s special day had a hand selected soundtrack. Justine sent along an explanation of their day:
Since we are both musicians, we wanted people to enjoy a mix of Jazz, R&B, Alternative and a lot more from what we enjoy listening so we had a touch of everything! The details were very carefully selected. We are big fans of Alicia Keys and Maroon 5 and so we decided to include in our invitation a phrase from She Will Be Loved in 2004 and Un-Thinkable (I’m Ready) of 2010 since both put a mark on our first year together and the year we got married. Our invitations were custom made – Cello with nylon strings as our cover and a 3-fold sheet which had a Piano Music Sheet of Grow Old With You by Adam Sandler so our friends can try it on the piano.
She explained a lot of their music details in full: We requested for a black grand piano topper instead of the usual bride and groom miniature for our cake. My groom had guitar cufflinks that totally matched his suit and I wore a bridal gown that made me look perfectly set to do my piano recital (which I did as I performed the Heroic Polonaise Op. 53 by Chopin)! The rest of the wedding details was as personal as possible — Vinyl CD’s were labeled with our favorite bands and were used as Table Guide (thanks to Ashley, of course). CD’s were used as Place Cards and had 15 songs which served as giveaways as well.
