A Real Hi-Fi Wedding: Nathalie & John’s Joyous Joining
Nathalie sent me her lovely wedding to John, and boy oh boy is it incredible! While there isn’t your “typical” playlist associated with this wedding, this is still a very music-heavy celebration! With friends that are musicians, John and Nathalie had a wonderful chorus that covered artists like Moloko, QOTSA, Vanessa Paradis, Bob Marley and Al Green. They also had Tabourmen musicians (from Burundi, their mothers’ native land). To top it off, John sang Nathalie an Incubus song AND there was a surprise flashmob dance!
Processional: Moloko – Time is Now
Ceremony: their friends sang Al Green – Let’s Stay Together, Queens of the Stone Age – Make it Witchu, Vanessa Paradis – Pourtant, and the song Down to the River to Pray.
Reception Entrance: Calvin Harris – Colours
Bride’s Serenade from Groom: Incubus – Drive
First Dance: Sia – Breathe
Flashmob: Barbara Streisand – Duck Sauce
