Guest Mix: Ari from Beat Train Productions
I love me some guest mixes! It’s a great way to get a new ear on music. While I try to keep it diverse, I can be biased towards certain artists and sounds, so again, these guest mixes keep it fresh! Ari (who is no stranger to Hi-Fi) includes some information about the mix, “Indie Goes Pop”:
This month, I’ll be DJ’ing at my 150th wedding. It’s been quite a journey over these past few years, and I’ve learned a lot. This mix, recorded at a recent wedding in Brooklyn NY, reflects the common sentiment amongst many of my clients: “Please make sure our wedding is a big dance party, we understand that we will probably need to compromise our musical ideals, but please make sure that our wedding does not have a ‘cookie cutter’ music selection filled with cheesy cliched weddings songs.”
Click here to listen (right click to download) the mix! Tack list below:

I love this mix! I follow your blog religiously and love all of the indie mixes with amazing songs, BUT at the end of the night I love a fantastic, remixed dance tune like nobody’s business. This was an amazing AMAZING post! Thanks!

Nice mix Ari! I may steal the new order vs R Kelly mix for my weddings.
Nice choice on the Gigamesh remix, I’ve been hitting that hard in my sets.
