A Real Hi-Fi Wedding: Dea & Jack’s Live Band Bash
Dea and Jack had an intimate church wedding followed by a concert themed reception; Dea and Jack’s Ball and Chain Tour. Their guests signed a guitar as they arrived at the reception, then had their hand’s stamped with the official “Ball and Chain Tour” logo of the wedding. They were given glow sticks to dance the night away to a live band. All of the reception decor was centered around music., and included loads of 45s and LPs.
Dea includes: Choosing a music theme for our wedding was the most simple decision of the whole wedding process. Music is such an instrumental part of our lives and we felt it would be the best way to make our wedding personal and true to who we are. Jack and I both play the guitar and sing, and our love of music was one of the first commonalities we found, that formed our friendship. Before we began dating we would often make each other “mixed tapes” (cds) with hidden meaning in the lyrics. Music was the first outlet we used to reveal our feelings for each other, and we felt it was the most appropriate outlet to share our feeling for each other, with friends and family on our wedding day.
