Rachel & Bo’s Boston Engagement
Do you and your love remember how you met? I love hearing stories about what brought the two together. Today, Rachel shares us some of her first moments being around Bo:
Just six or so weeks after we started dating Bo was invited to play a couple of Neil Young covers at a club (for a Neil Young tribute night) in Jamaica Plain. Bo thought it was a good excuse to work with me, so we collaborated on that — the songs were “Harvest Moon” & “On The Beach.” We had a fun time doing it, so we continued on the path of making music together! We haven’t performed the Neil Young covers since then, but now we perform mostly original tunes and our band name is called the wrong shapes — yes lower case. Why? Just because.
Hearing that these two are musicians and in a band together makes my heart so happy! That’s definitely one thing on mine and Andy’s shared “bucket list”. Anyway, Rachel and Bo also share a love for cemeteries, and decided Forrest Hills would make for the perfect photo backdrop. Apparently Bo was a grave-digger in high school and Rachel has always been obsessed with “Harold & Maude.” Bo is a singer and guitarist, playing with the bands MEandJOANCOLLINS and Future Carnivores. Together they are the music duo the wrong shapes.
