A Real Hi-Fi Wedding: Chris & Erin’s Pendarvis Farm Fun
Chris is a publicist for a handful of my favorite bands (some that my husband and I have had play our record shop), so it’s no wonder that I’m totally jazzed about the hand picked playlist he and his wife, Erin, curated for their wedding! The two love birds met while they were DJs at a college radio station. Chris and Erin chose to tie the knot at Pendarvis Farm (where the Portland-area music fest called Pickathon takes place). Because music is a big part of their lives, Chris and Erin wanted to have a wedding that incorporated that part of their relationship. They used old LP covers of rad duos as the table decorations (including Hall & Oates, Cheech & Chong, Captain & Tennille, Sam & Dave, Kid n Play, Peaches & Herb, Johnny Cash & June Carter Cash). I’m so in love with this wedding! Peep on and enjoy friends!

Congratulations! In 1994 my husband Mark Cherniack and I asked our dear friends Scott and Sherry if we could have our wedding in their backyard. We thus sparked the idea of Pendarvis Farm being a place for such events. I created a playlist for the evening. Timed the wedding under the tree in the backyard for the rising of the full moon behind Mt. Hood. Though still light, we could at least point out the moon behind the mountain, and danced under the full moon on the old tennis court pad. Your wedding brings back all of those memories. Legendary Jon Newton of Newton Bard Music took all my CDs and assembled my playlist for me. I am feeling nostalgic now, and your wedding looks so beautiful.
