A Real Hi-Fi Wedding: Caroline & Mark’s Eco Friendly Dance Party
I love seeing photographer’s own weddings! I was ecstatic when Caroline and I first started emailing about featuring one of her upcoming sessions, and then it only got better when she sent me photos from her own Hi-Fi Wedding!
I wanted as green of a wedding as possible, and a huge dance party. Those were my main goals! We succeeded. Whole Foods made the green part capable! My favorite thing they did that was after the wedding, they took all of our centerpieces and gave them to a local hospice.
The morning of the wedding, after getting our hair and makeup done, we played Skip Bo until we had to leave for the venue!
Austin is such a great music scene. Period. There was a group of guys jamming near the venue and the groom/groomsmen enjoyed it for a bit.
My super great friends from college, Nathan and Nate, played music during the ceremony. Nathan wrote the awesome guitar piece for me and titled it “Song for Caroline.” Nate played from the first kiss through the processional Sondre Lerche’s version of “Let My Love Open the Door.”
Caroline sent me the song, so you can listen! Just click to play!
“Song for Caroline” – Nathan Allen
You might be able to tell from my photography that I hate traditional portraits. thus, me and my girls. with our flowers.
One of my favorite things about the Design Center was that there were mock up kitchens, tiles everywhere, door knobs, etc. So the guys hung out in the “kitchen” while the girls finished having fun.
And now onto the music that kept this dance party going!

She’s such a talented photographer! Her fun-loving vibe really comes through in all her images. I agree with Caroline’s aesthetics: no formal portraits, just completely unabashed & uninhibited moments. Totally awesome!
