Meet the Inspiration: Brooklyn Bride
I’m gathering quite the page of kick ass vendors/inspiration*. These are people in the industry that not only would you hire for your special day, but you can just as easily sit down with and have a beer (or coffee). And since Hi-Fi is all about the tunes in our lives, we’re gonna get to know what these peeps dig on musically.
You don’t have to be from New York to draw inspiration from Vané’s beautiful blog, Brooklyn Bride. She combines elements of classic, edgy, whimsy, and unique weddings to help future brides plan their wedding. Showing off the talents of vendors of every type, it’s a wonderful place to lose an afternoon or six.
Can you describe your life (so far) in 3-5 songs?
That is friggin hard! Death by Chocolate – Sia, Love Sex Magic – Justin Timberlake & Ciara, Lucky – Colbie Caillat
What is your favorite love song?
Right now, I’m totally obsessed with the GLEE rendition of Lionel Ritchie’s “Hello”. Its been playing nonstop on my iphone.
If you could go see anyone perform live who would it be?
Hmm, I’m not really a concert person, but I guess I would like to see Lady Gaga perform, just for the spectacle of it all.
What is your preferred format of music?
mp3. I have no patience for anything else, though my “Muppets Take Manhattan” record does hold a special place in my heart.
Are you a musician? If so, what do you play? If not, what would you play?
I guess I used to be a musician…I play piano, and have also played the flute and clarinet. Used to be a pretty bad-ass musical director back in high school and college.
*Do you know someone who should be on the vendor page? Just email me and let’s chat!
