Rain or shine, these two were tying the knot with a smile on their face! It’s important to keep a positive outlook on your weddings day. In fact, rain is even considered to be good luck – so with luck on their side Lindsey and Jesse took it back to their roots! Lindsey explains:

Jesse and I chose to get married in Bellingham because it’s where we both lived and fell in love while he was volunteering for Lake Samish Fire Department and I was finishing up at Western Washington University. We chose Marine Park for our ceremony because we loved the beauty of the islands as a backdrop to our wedding. We also loved the beautiful bay windows at our reception site that looked towards Fairhaven. A memorable moment for me was standing under the outdoor shelter at the park, unsure about the rain right before our outdoor ceremony was to begin. I looked at Jesse a little discouraged when he said, “It doesn’t matter if it rains, because all that matters is that we’re getting married today!” Also, I never imagined that the cake would fall off the stand as we cut it-but it made for a good story! Our goal for our wedding was for all of our guests to feel relaxed, dance and have a great time-which it seemed everyone did!
