A Real Hi-Fi Wedding: Lindsey & Adriano’s Adoring Affection
Vintage tins, kitten memorabilia, mason jars, wildflowers, lace, pink flamingos and a working gramophone are just some of my favorite details from this wedding. Lindsey and Adriano had such an elegant touch to their special day! It also excites me that their DJs actually played a set of old records on their gramophone and taught the guests how to do certain dances! Peep on to see all of the mouth watering details and love seep from each image!
Whilst guests are arriving:
A django reinhardt
Van Morrison – Sweet thing
The Kinks – Tired of waiting for you
Bride Processional: Donovon – Catch the Wind
Sign register: The Velvet underground – I’m Sticking With You
Exit music: Al Green – Love and Happiness
Reception Drinks
Shuggie Otis – Strawberry Letter 23
Marvin Gaye – I Want You
The Cure – Friday I’m in Love
Carol King – I Feel the Earth Move
David Bowie – Moon Age Day Dream
Aretha Franklin – You’re all I Need to Get by
Joanna Newsom – This Side of the Blue
Stevie Nicks – Rooms on Fire
Evening Dance
First dance: Louis Armstrong – La vie en rose
Then the Shellac sister djs played music from the 1920’s through to 1950’s rock and roll through their gramophones! (insert Ashley freaking out with excitement!)
Records Included:
Marilyn Monroe – Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend
Jonny Bond – Mean Mama boogie
Charleston – dejango Reinhardt
Arthur Lally – Dance of the Cookoos
The Shellac Sisters were great and also taught us to dance properly to the music. After the Shellac Sisters’ set we plugged our i-pod in and played lots of David Bowie, Prince, Billie Idol, Bonnie Tyler and Rolling Stones amongst others.
