Mixtape Masters
Volume Five of Mixtape Masters…for those who have been keeping up since the beginning! This week has been a bit crazy so I kinda threw this together at the last minute. I REALLY wanted to include the Arthur Brown song “Fire” but I couldn’t find a good version on mixpod (boo) so pretend it’s on here…but click on that link cause the song is rad! Anyway, onto what did make it onto the playlist:
Lightning’s Girl – Nancy Sinatra*
Goodbye Girl – Squeeze
With a Girl Like You – The Troggs
Lovely One – Ty Segall (he’s playing in our record store soon – CAN’T WAIT!)
Can’t Hardly Wait – The Replacements
*I’ll be singing this song in Purgatory Lounge next Friday and I’m SO excited. I have a major girl crush on ole’ Nancy and we totally have the same vocal range…although she has way more Sinatra-esque about her than I’ll ever have.
For more Mixtape Master madness, peep the playlists on these blogs:
One Cat Per Person | Tylre. | Ten Thou Bride | Fashion Under 100 | Jo, Rooting | Craft My Life | another damn life | Savoir Weddings | Fancy Notion | Dead Flowers | Casa De Kaloi | Bunnies’n’Beagles | My San Francisco Budget Wedding | Existing Between Reality and Dreams

That is an incredible first song. Put me in the mood in all sorts of ways! It’s like a sexy version of an Irish drinking song.
