A Real Hi-Fi Wedding: Erin & Rob’s Special Soundtrack
Let’s face it – some people don’t even care about music for their wedding (gasp!)…while some people pick songs with their grandparents in mind, and yet still others make it uniquely personal to their relationship. Erin and Rob are in the latter category, and I couldn’t be more thrilled!
Rob and I are big music fans and have pretty eclectic taste. Early into our relationship we spent a lot of time playing each other music the other hadn’t heard, didn’t know, hadn’t considered and sometimes didn’t like. The songs we chose to play at our wedding all have significant meaning to us. Some songs were played during our first dates and some are from movies we really enjoy, others remind us of each other, and a few were heard live at concerts we attended together. Most importantly we picked songs that are meaningful to the two of us and make us feel a certain way. We created somewhat of a soundtrack in honor of our special day.

Dinner/Table Release
Our guests received escort cards (printed to look like concert tickets) which assigned them to a designated Artist/Band table. Table cards were printed album covers. Dinner was buffet style, so when the song was played by the guest’s Artist/Band, it was their turn to go get food. We each picked our top 15 favorites and began the process of illumination, a difficult process for both of us. Because we really wanted this to be interactive and fun for our guests we made sure our picks were well known and current. Unfortunately this meant a lot of our indie favorites were immediately cut, however we made table cards anyway for several of these Artists/Bands and placed them in various spots throughout the venue where guests would stumble upon them.
