Wahooo!!! I’m beach-bound this week and so I’m sending all of our eyes on an early vacation with this beach bash of a wedding!

Amanda said it best herself when she described her “smooshing of music-beach-vintage” wedding! I’m loving the record details, but that comes with the territory – you see, Amanda is a DJ! She describes how it was to pick the soundtrack to their lovely day:

Oh the music! Being a DJ myself, doing mostly weddings, this was the most difficult, exciting and fun part of planning the wedding. My fiance and I PICKED EVERY SONG. As soon as we got engaged, we started our list. After a year and a half…well….it got kinda long! haha! From the background music for our “first look” to the very last song….we wanted to extend our reception just for the music alone. The question I got asked the most was “you are a DJ…who is gonna do YOUR wedding??”. Well my mentor, the guy that got me into DJing almost 10 years ago, was my DJ. He is like a brother to me so it meant the world and I couldn’t imagine anyone else doing it.

I will put a disclaimer out there about the music…I was a little obsessed. Jason and I could have easily had a 24 hour wedding reception. A song that was a no-brainer was what I walked down the aisle with my dad. I have been a No Doubt fan since 5th grade and even skipped my high school graduation to go see them when they toured with Blink 182 (wore my cap and gown and everything! haha). To say that song being played was emotional is an understatement. The words are so honest and powerful. Jason is a classic rock man to the core (with a secret love for 90’s hip hop)…and I just love everything.
