Jessica & Bobby’s Wilco Love
The second time I hung out with my now-husband, he had come over to my apartment with an advanced copy of the “new” Wilco album, “A Ghost is Born”. We sat on my second story patio and spent the afternoon together with the album on repeat. Therefore, I totally have a soft spot in my heart for this next couple, Jessica and Bobby. This is pretty much a quintessential Hi-Fi Love story! Jessica tells all:
Bobby and I met at a South by Southwest party, kicking off the music festival in 2009. Right off the bat we discovered that we were both music nerds and even had the same favorite band, Wilco. Finding out that we both saw Uncle Tupelo back in the day blew our minds maybe a little too much. After some high school-like courting, Bobby made me a mix CD, and asked me to go see a band he really likes for our first date. (It ended up getting rained out.) We both have so many memories from our lives connected to certain bands, shows, and songs. We love sharing these with each other and continue to build on them together as a couple going to shows, listening to Bobby’s vinyl collection, and singing like idiots at home.
What we love most about our engagement photos is that secretly, we daydream about being a cute indie rock married couple band (like Mates of State, but with no musical talent) and some of these photos could be used for our fantasy album cover.
ooo well lookie here! A sneak peak of Jessica and Bobby‘s Wedding Playlist!
