Sunday Singles: The Strangeloves
Each week I digitize a 45 from my own personal collection and share it with the earholes of the internet. The Sunday Singles are not just for those planning a wedding, but for music lovers across the board. It’s a recollection of the past with the sound of vinyl against a needle and the warm song that results.

You Only Live Twice
Maybe this was just me, but sometimes (when I was younger) I would pretend to have a fake accent from somewhere more exotic than Alabama when I would meet strangers for the first time. Mind you, I’m a theater nut so this was more of fun and games than I’m-totally-serious-about-this-and-I’m-going-to-fool-the-world. Anyway, this story does have relevance to The Strangeloves, I promise. While the
“brothers” (Giles, Niles, and Miles Strange) hailed from New York, they pretended to be Australian sheep farmers who got rich quick by inventing a new form of sheep…therefore allowing them to have enough money and free time to tour. HAH! I love it! Well, they certainly captured the hearts and ears with some of their chart-toppers, including the hit, Cara-Lin. Need a pick me up for your wedding mix? Take a listen (even if your name isn’t Cara-Lin*)!
Wanna mingle with more singles?! Check out all of the past Sundays!
*Holy shit though if your name IS Cara-Lin than I love your parents for choosing that name…aaaaaand you should totally email me!
