As I exclaimed to Jonas in an email, it only took reading “met sharing music”, “DJed own wedding” and a mutual love for Sparks (um yes please!) that made me stoked to have this gem on Hi-Fi.

Last month a strong, beautiful knot was tied between Domenica and Jonathan. Up until now they had a long distance relationship. Domenica lives in Seattle and DJ’s under the name Agnes Fidget on Hallow Earth Radio. She also works by day for the Experience Music Project. Jonathan had been living in the small village in England where he grew up. They met online sharing music with each other and fell in love (excuse me why my heart melts!). These two had a sweet, unique wedding – and Domenica even stepped in to DJ her own reception!!

Here’s what Dominica had to say: Jonathan and I’s wedding day was fairly reflective of who we are are individuals and being a DJ is an essential part of my identity. We met because of our mutual love of bands like Sparks, so music brought us together (for reference: http://www.last.fm/charts/features/valentines2012). I love sharing music with others, so I definitely wanted to do my favorite thing ever at one of the most important days of my life.

Some deets from Domenica about the reception: We are both very weird and nerdy, and we were unabashedly ourselves during the wedding. We had our friend Andrew play old disco, mostly of the Italo variety, which was perfect for us, since we are both big fans of classic disco and its many permutations.
