A Real Hi-Fi Wedding: Kelsi & Jeremy Daytrippin’ DIY Dream
Kelsi and Jeremy incorporated their love for music (several ways) in their darling DIY wedding! First and foremost, Jeremy designed their invitations (he is a graphic designer) which were a concert poster and ticket. One of their favors was a cd with music from bands they have seen live together (LOVE that!) which complimented their personalized guitar picks quite nicely! Jeremy and Kelsi first met at a show with a Beatles tribute band called The Daytrippers, so it was only fitting that they played at their wedding! As if all of that wasn’t spectacular enough, Jeremy and Kelsi wrote a song which they performed for the guests at the reception.
Wedding Favor CD
“The Breeze” – Dr. Dog
” Wonderful” – Geographer
“Elevator love Letter” – Stars
“I should go/thinking of you” – Good Old War
“Specks” – Matt Pond
“Two Notes and a beat” – The Lonely Forest
“Not Miserable” – Frightened Rabbit
“Stay Young, Go Dancing” – Death Cab for Cutie
“Dear True Love” – Sleeping At Last
“I’m gonna change your life” – The Thermals
“Three Rounds and a Sound” – Blind Pilot
Ceremony
music was instrumental, picked from a list of hymns they were allowed at the church
Reception
Grand Entrance song: “Sweet Disposition” – Temper Trap
First Dance Song: “Three Rounds and a sound” – Blind Pilot
Father/Daughter/Mother/Son Dance song: “Sea of Love” – Robert Plant
Dancing
Beatles songs performed by the Daytrippers, followed by a very long mix of mostly 80’s music and Motown
Here’s what Kelsi had to say about the song they performed: Our song that we sang at the reception was original lyrics sang to the tune of “Fireworks after midnight” by Gold Motel. I came up with the lyrics using entries we had written to each other in a journal we kept while we were dating. We named our song “Two-Sided Love.”
Two-Sided Love Lyrics
Bookstore dates and concert nights, and finding forgotten fires
being with you is peaceful, it motivates and inspires
what a blessing, two-sided love
we’re writing our history, each moment we share
our life together, you & me, a joy beyond compare
you breathe life into my days, my bright star
thank you, love, for being exactly what you are
what a blessing, two-sided love
we’re writing our history, each moment we share
our life together, you & me, a joy beyond compare
thank you friends and family, on our special day
it means so much to have you here, on our wedding day
we’re writing our history, each moment we share
our life together, you & me, a joy beyond compare
what a blessing, two-sided love

I can honestly say that this was hands down the most unique wedding I have ever been to! Every detail was carefully planned and it was incredible! I had the privilege of doing a ‘photo booth’ for them which was the funnest one I have EVER done! Its a blast being able to call these two my friends, never a dull moment! I absolutely adore them!
