A Real Hi-Fi Reception: Amanda & Daniel’s Dance Party
Dan and Amanda chose to be married in a small ceremony at a park near their home the previous fall before their wedding dance party celebration. Because their families are giant, they opted for an intimate ceremony with a HUGE reception! The event was laid back and fun. The guests were very fashionable. The music was eclectic. The love birds created their own iPod play list for the cocktail hour and the dance party reception.
Of course, I love hearing straight from the source, and here’s what Amanda had to say:
This was most certainly the most fun night of our entire lives. We had already gotten married a few months prior to our wedding celebration, so we had no pressure and were just able to let loose and have a really good time. (And we REALLY let loose!) We spent weeks curating the “perfect playlist” that had all of our favorite songs, some danceable hits, and a few throwbacks everyone could enjoy.
I think even people that already knew us got a little better flavor for our personalities from this night. We’re not fussy, but we have certain tastes in music, style, etc.; we care way more about what’s playing in the background that what’s in the center of a table; and we’re just a couple of weirdos lucky enough to have found each other. I’m glad all of these things came across in our wedding celebration.
