A Real Hi-Fi Wedding: Amy & Dave’s Jazzy Day
This brilliant wedding was themed around Jazz, blues and big band music. Amy’s bouquet, which she DIY’d, was made from vintage found and family brooches. The seating chart was based on vinyl records and tables were named after classic artists such as Frank Sinatra, Billy Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Sammy Davis Jr., Dean Martin, Tommy Dorsey, Edith Piaf, Glenn Miller, Miles Davis, Eartha Kitt, and Bobby Darin. Amy also used a large vinyl record afixed to a foam board, along with the custom designed program, as a place for guests to sign their names. The ceremony and reception were held at the historic Valentine Theatre which has a HUGE canvas mural 10 feet high, paying homage to performers who appeared from 1895 to 1920. Twas a GORGEOUS affair – feast your eyes on these lovely images!
There was a classical stringed quartet for the ceremony that played the following:
Processional: Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring
Recessional: Queen of Sheba
First Dance: Come Rain or Come Shine
Mother-Son Dance: What a Wonderful World
The reception featured lots of Sinatra, highlights include: Fly Me to the Moon, I Get a Kick Out Of You, Summer Wind, Lady is a Tramp
