A Real Hi-Fi Wedding: Chris & Mandy’s Music Memories
Like so many wonderful love stories, Chris and Mandy’s first conversation was over music! They immediately connected over bands like Circa Survive (Mandy’s favorite) & The Red Hot Chili Peppers (Chris’ favorite). Both being music lovers, hand picking some of their favorite songs to accompany their day was a must! Mandy includes reasons why they chose each song (seen in italic below), which I love! After swooning over the gorgeous images, be sure to check out their radtastic playlist!
Reception Entrance: Queen – We Will Rock You
Queen has always been near and dear to me since I was little. My father was a huge fan of the band and since his passing I have grown to appreciate all there is to Queen even more. I really wanted something fun to enter to and I knew I wanted to incorporate Queen into the reception somehow.
First Dance: As Tall As Lions – Love, Love, Love (Love, Love)
I introduced As Tall As Lions to Chris soon into dating. After a first listen he was hooked and we never missed a concert any time they came to town. There were also many late night wine conversations during our first few dates with their album playing in the background.
Mother Son Dance: Scott Keo – All To You
Chris’ mum absolutely adores this song and actually cried when she first heard it. She says it reminds her of Chris anytime she hears it.
Mother Daughter Dance: Bruno Mars – Just The Way You Are
My mum and I aren’t much for sappy songs, so we decided to rock out to one of her favorite songs by Bruno Mars.
Cake Cutting: Red Hot Chili Peppers – Hard To Concentrate
We obviously had to incorporate some RHCP into the wedding! Chris actually started playing bass 13 years ago when he first heard Flea play bass with RHCP. We both really love this song and it was a prefect fit for the wedding.
Bouquet Toss: Elvis – All Shook Up
Garter Toss: Elvis – Hound Dog
I have a huge crush on Elvis Presley (who doesn’t, right?!). He makes me wanna shake my hips and put on my best 1950’s garb!
Acoustic Set Played by friends: City & Colour – Northern Wind

Chromeo – Bonafied Lovin’
