HOLY SHIT HI-FI WEDDINGS IS TWO YEARS OLD TODAY!!! What started with a brain fart, turned into a napkin scribble, and then eventually coded turned into the site you see today! I can’t thank all of you enough: from those who have been here since the first post, to the ones that found this corner of the net just yesterday. I hope you have enjoyed our time together thus far and I look forward to many more music memories with all of you! Now, onto the Sunday Single!

Each week I digitize a 45 from my own personal collection and share it with the earholes of the internet. The Sunday Singles are not just for those planning a wedding, but for music lovers across the board. The Box Tops started my (and many others’) infatuation with Alex Chilton. Of course everything he does (did…RIP sniff sniff) did was pure gold. From his vocal crooning to his magic guitar playing, I let out a big ole’ happy sigh when one of his tunes hits my eardrums. While I adore everything he’s released, if you’re new to Chilton’s sound then check out this song…it’s a panty dropper for reals y’all.
